Who are the “sons of God”

My reflections on the idea of “sons of God,” “other gods,” “god of gods,” and “holy ones” in the Hebrew Bible.

  1. For John, those who grasp (Greek elabon) the Word receive the authority (Greek exousia) to become the sons of God (John 1:12).

For Lehi / Nephi, the word (1 Nephi 11:25) is also emphatically something to be grasped (1 Nephi 8:24, 30). Grasping it, you are led through the strait and narrow path to the tree of life (1 Nephi 8:20).
