I’ve finished my materials on 1 Nephi 1:5-20. An examination of the visions and preaching of Lehi; exploration of the Jewish exoteric background–temple theophany, apocalyptic vision, celestial ascent, throne theophany, divine council, sod/mysteries, Host of Heaven, heavenly book, and Messiah.

I’m off to visit my granddaughters for Christmas, so I won’t be posting anything new until about the 29th of December or so.
There is a new movie available on DVD on the coming forth of the Book of Mormon called “Joseph Smith: Plates of Gold.” I haven’t seen it, but here’s the web page with previews if you are interested.
BOM 00 Introduction 3 Translation
Here is the material on the translation of the BOM.
